September 13, 2003 Weight Pull-Ramsey, MN
This weight pulling event is the first associated with the Ramsey Happy Days Celebration. The pull includes trophies and dog food sponsored by Eagle Pack Super Premium Pet Food. The hosts of this event is Robbie and Tim Hiltz and the Greater Twin Cities St. Bernard Club. Directions to event: (From Wisconsin). Take I-94 West to Minnesota. Turn onto I-494/694 West (actually traveling north). Exit Highway 10 West (to Anoka). Exit onto Highway 47 North (St. Francis Blvd) past the Anoka County Fair Grounds and Bunker Lake Blvd, to Nowthen Blvd. Go Left of Nowthen Blvd approximately 3/4 of a mile. The Ramsey City Hall is on the right. Enter the driveway and stay to the right. Go to the end of the upper parking lot and then follow the signs. If lost, call Mark Pruka @ 763-238-8856. September 29, 2003 Cranberry Festival Parade This 2nd annual event is held in Warrens WI during the Sunday parade. The host of this event is Lori Peterson. October 11, 2003 Midwest Kickoff Weight Pull
Our annual pull, this event will be held at Walmart in Black River Falls, WI. The hosts of this event are Lori Peterson (715-884-7205) and Helen and John Schultz (608-588-2565). Trophies and ribbons are available but the dog food sponsorship is pending. The 2002-2003 season points winners will be featured at the meeting following the event. The food will be by individual basis and the meeting place will be announced at the event on Saturday. Directions to event: Take exit 116 off I-94 which will take you to Black River Falls. There are two exits so please make sure you're taking exit 116. If you're traveling FROM the south, turn left off the ramp. If you're traveling FROM the north, turn right. The Walmart will be on your right and you'll see the event immediately. November 1, 2003 Northwoods Haul Weight Pull
Our 2nd annual weight pull in Eagle River, WI. The event will feature trophies, ribbons and Eagle Pack dog food as prizes. This year, the event will be held at the newly remodeled-family owned Hiawatha Motor Inn (715-479-4442) This event is hosted by Mike and Madelaine Friddle (715-479-6396). Directions to event: 1982 North Highway 45, Eagle River, WI Take Highway 51 North to Highway 70. Go east on 70 into Eagle River. At light, take a left at Highway 45 north. 2.5 miles more past Derby Track (Klondike Days) and the Hiawatha will be on your right. November 15, 2003 Hobbit Haul Weight Pull and the Woodside Ranch Race This event has been cancelled December 13, 2003 Rudolph Weight Pull
This is a new event in Rudolph, WI held in conjunction with the Rudolph Chamber of Commerce. It is to benefit the Malamute Rescue groups (SLAMR and SCAMP). The parade is to be a lighted rig and dogs walked are welcomed. The weight pull and parade start at the Elementary School A dog friendly and cheap motel is the Spruce Park Motel, 1/2 mile west of Wisconsin Rapids on Hwy 13. The event is hosted by Helen Schultz (608-588-2565). Directions to event: Take Highway 34 north out of Wisconsin Rapids to Rudolph (6 miles). Turn right (east) onto Main Street (CTH C). Go through town (maybe a mile tops?) and turn left onto Knowledge Ave. The elementary school is a couple blocks down and easily visible on the left. December 27, 2003-January 2, 2004 Winter Rendezvous Dog Sledding Week Our 3rd event following the holiday seasons is the best all around event for our season. Club Members gather this year near Black River Falls, WI and eat, laugh and sled with our dogs. There are openings for members to stay at a cabin. Come join and literally go dog sledding out the front door! The event is hosted by Helen Schultz (608-588-2565). Directions to event: Please contact Helen for reserving your spot. January 3, 2004 Ode to Champions Weight Pull
Our 5th annual event, is held in honor of all the TSAMC Champions that have left us. The event is held at the PetsMart West in Madison, WI and is hosted by Sara Thuot (608-592-7338). Directions to event: Take I-90 to the 12/18 Highway exit. Take Mineral Point Road exit off 12/18 and head west. Take the first left (Commerce Drive). PetsMart is on the right just past Menards and Circuit City. January 10, 2004 Sarge's Tug Weight Pull This event has been cancelled

More to come with this event. Please watch for details. February 7, 2004 National Championship Weight Pull and Sprint Race
One of our largest events, this pull and sprint race is held in conjunction with Christmas Mountain Ski Resort in Wisconsin Dells, WI. The purse for the weight pull will be $3000. The weight pull is hosted by Helen and John Schultz (608-588-2565), Marty and Sherri Stringfield (920-348-4093) and Kelly Pruka (763-689-9875). Directions to events: From I-90, take exit 87 which is Highway 13. At the first stop light, turn left onto County "H". (Burger King on inside corner). Go 4.5 miles and turn left. The road to Christmas Mountain is just past a gas station and is marked with the Christmas Mountain sign. Take another left at another sign and continue through the cabins to the main hills. Go past the buildings on right and turn right just on the other side of the chalet/hotel. You may cross the barriers to park down by the events. February 2004 February 21-22, 2004 Northwoods National Championship Weight Pull
In conjunction with Klondike Days in Eagle River, WI, this weight pull is an annual event. This year, the event will be open and hosted for two complete days. There will be a purse of $2000. You do not have to enter on both days to be eligible for the purse. The host for this event is Marty and Sherri Stringfield (920-348-4093). Directions to event: Klondike Days is at the Eagle River's Derby Track. Watch for the signs.
February 28, 2004 Hobbit Haul Weight Pull Isanti, MN
In conjunction with Isanti Properties and the Pitter-Patter Paws Pet Store in Isanti, MN this event is a new one and promises to be an event to draw all types and levels of participants. In honor of Hobbit, an AKC Champion weight puller and show dog, this event is sure to be spectacular. The event is easy to for our spectators and for all participants. Directions to event:
From the North: Take I-35 south to Highway 95 west exit at Cambridge/North Branch. Continue 13 miles into Cambridge and take Highway 65 south to Isanti. At the lights, turn right or west on Highway 5. The event will be a turn to the left and signs will be visible.
From Wisconsin:
From the Cities: Take Highway 65 North to Isanti. Turn left on Highway 5 and follow the signs. OR Take I-35 North to Cambridge/North Branch exit which is Highway 95 west. After 13 miles, enter Cambridge and take Highway 65 South to Isanti. Turn right at Highway 5 and follow signs. March 13, 2004 Iarortuck Fun Finale Weight Pull
This is our finale for the season and promises to always be the best saved until the end. It is held at the Crazy 8 Bar in Tisch Mills, WI. The event is hosted by Dean and Melissa Martin (920-784-1260) and Julie Popp (920-776-1564). Directions to event: From the South: The directions to Tisch Mills are I-45 north to the Marible/Mishicot exit. Turn right (east) on Highway 147. Go 7 miles on Highway 147 and turn left on Highway "B". Go 5 miles on "B" to Zander Road. Watch for the signs for the event. From the North: Take I-43 to exit 171 (WI 96) or the Greenleaf/Denmark exit. Go south until County Road KB. Turn east for 1 mile. Turn right on County Road "T" for .6 miles. Turn left on County Road "R" and go for 1.8 miles. Turn left on County Road "BB" and drive 8 miles to downtown. These directions are from the Rand McNally site. |
