Winter Rendezvous Sledding
Event Brule River Classics Resort,
Brule, WI
You do not need to be a member to attend this
event. Everyone is welcome, even new people who do not know anyone. Bring
your dogs or don't bring your dogs, but the object of the event is to have
FUN! After all the stress of the Holiday's we deserve a break to hang out
with other dog fanciers and have a relaxing time.
BRULE RIVER CLASSICS RESORT-- Brule, WI (about 45 minutes from Bayfield on lake Superior)
TSAMC has one huge cabin (cedar) rented that sleeps 12 people with a big
social area. The resort does not allow dogs or smokers in the big
cabin so dogs must stay in vehicles and trailers. The cabins are
moderns with electric and water/bath, etc. and a full kitchen. First come
first served for the beds, but we are more than willing to pack people in
on the floors so bring bedding.
The trail info on Brule is as follows from
the DNR: They have miles of trails that they mow
every few years for hunters that are not open to snowmobiles. They
thought it would be OK for us to use a snowmobile on these hunter trails
for a one time thing to pack the snow down for dog sledding. We can also
use these trails for snowshoeing and skijoring and hiking. There are
plenty of designated snowmobile trails nearby.
We hope you can make it and plan on ringing in the New Year with all your
dog friends and have a howling good time. If you have any other questions,
please call Kelly Pruka at
763-689-9875 or Rhonda Schrader at
715-381-1460. The Brule River Classics Resort's number is 715-372-8153.
The reservations are under the Pruka name.
